Antwerp (drawing), 2007
An enlarged snapshot on a visit to Antwerp was the idea to capture a fleeting impression of the ‘Cathedral of our Lady.’ This Gothic church is a historical symbol within today’s secularization and modern urbanization. The image is built up of a perplexing array of long as well as short lines. It is as if the image is ‘written up’ and gives an impressionistic feel of the details that make up this cathedral tower.
