A Personal Geographic (book), 2005
The book 'A Personal Geographic' contains 29 collages, compiled from visual material taken from the National Geographic magazine. They are reproduced in their actual size. The sequence and joining into groups are based on the seven Acts of Mercy: Feeding the hungry / Giving drink to the thirsty / Clothing the naked / Ministering to the sick / Visiting those in prison / Receiving the stranger / Burying the dead. The collages can be seen as a mirrow of the world in which we are living. They are offering a current comment on the Acts of Mercy and discuss questions on moral values. (quotation S.
